What is it?
Plant: Camellia sinensis
• Camellia sinensis is a small evergreen shrub with white flowers, native to the mountainous regions of China, Japan and India. Today it is cultivated in over 30 countries around the world.
• To make black tea, the leaves are withered, rolled and slightly heated. They are then fermented before the final heating/drying process.
• Much to the surprise of adamant green tea drinkers, black tea too is teeming with nutrients. By consuming it with additives like milk or sugar, some of the health benefits are depleted, but not entirely lost.
Health Benefits of Drinking Black Tea
• Antioxidants: Black tea contains polyphenols, which are the antioxidants which help block damage associated with tobacco and other toxic chemicals. Polyphenols are different from the antioxidants you find in fruit and vegetables, so incorporated into your diet, they can be an additional source of health benefits.
• A Better Heart: In a 2009 study for Arab L. et al, called “Green & Black Tea Consumption & Risk of Stroke: a Meta-Analysis (“Meta-analysis” uses a statistical approach to combine the results from multiple studies in an effort to increase accuracy of individual studies, improve estimates of the size of the effect and/or to resolve uncertainty when reports disagree.) Individuals who consume 3 or more cups of tea had a 21% lower risk of stroke than people who consume less than 1 cup of black or green tea per day.

This tea is the most delectable tea I have tasted in years. It has great flavour and just satisfies you to the core. Besides having all the components of healthy and good for you, it is a definite must in my search for better products to consume.

Once in a while I make this tea in the evening and I add a slice of lemon in it. Oh boy is it tasty! The color and the smell is great, but the taste is even better!
