Matcha tea martini

Matcha tea martini

Matcha is a type of green tea that is made from finely ground tea leaves. It has a unique, earthy flavour and is known for its bright green colour. Here is a recipe for a matcha tea martini that you can try at home:

  • 2 ounces vodka
  • 1 ounce matcha tea syrup (recipe below)
  • 1 ounce fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 ounce Cointreau or triple sec
  • 1/2 ounce simple syrup
  • ice
  • lime wedges, for garnish

Matcha tea syrup:

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons matcha tea powder

  1. To make the matcha tea syrup, combine the water, sugar, and matcha tea powder in a small saucepan. Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly, until the sugar has dissolved.

  2. Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the syrup cool completely.

  3. To make the martini, fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the vodka, matcha tea syrup, lime juice, Cointreau, and simple syrup. Shake well to combine.

  4. Strain the mixture into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a lime wedge.

  5. Serve the martini immediately.

This matcha tea martini is a refreshing and flavourful cocktail that is perfect for sipping on a warm summer day. You can customize the recipe by using different types of vodka or by adjusting the amount of matcha tea syrup and other ingredients to suit your taste. Enjoy!

For this type of beverage we recommend using Chinese Matcha.
